Visiting the Roman Lakes

Our Tea Rooms offer a perfect stop to those enjoying a walk, bike or horse ride. We have homemade cakes, soups, stew and toasties, plus hot and cold refreshments and ice cream available to purchase.

Live music from the Parkulele Ukulele Players on Open Days.

If travelling by car please do ensure you follow the directions on the contact page. We have a free car park available for visitors with level access to the Tea Rooms and lakeside.

We have a small play area and beautiful lakeside walks. There is also  immediate access to circular walks and bike rides from the Tea Rooms around the wider valley area. Guides available from the Tea Rooms.

The nearby site of Mellor mill forms part of the Roman Lakes estate and is cared for by the Mellor Archaeological Trust. It offers a fascinating insight into the valley's rich history. Guided maps available from the Tea Rooms.
