Weddings at
the Roman Lakes
We have been hosting stunning lakeside weddings at the Roman Lakes for over a decade and are absolutely honoured to have been entrusted with helping each couple plan their day. The Tea Rooms can host a maximum of 90 seated guests and can cater for a maximum of 120 evening guests, utilising both the inside and outside covered areas.
We charge a set function fee for weddings which allows us to fully indulge in planning and preparing for your day. Please do let us know when you plan to celebrate and we will advise on availability and do everything we can to help you create a unique and wonderful day.

Blessings
We have hosted blessings both by the lake and inside the Tea Rooms which have been both incredibly beautiful and personal to each couple. Blessings are not legally binding - you will need to sign the necessary papers at a registry office prior. They can however be completely personal to you and led by a friend, family member or celebrant.
A Day to Remember
Our location nestled deep within the valley, surrounded by stunning woodland and set beside the lake is utterly unique and magical. We can provide private use of our grounds, providing your guests with the space to roam and your photographer with innumerable opportunities to capture your day.
Flowers
We can recommend some incredible local florists and are happy to provide use of our wide selection
of vases. We are also happy to include simple seasonal flowers from our gardens to decorate the
tables and venue.
Bar and Drinks
We can provide your guests with a pay bar and have a wide selection of both alcoholic and soft drinks. We can also provide tea and coffee to your guests throughout the day and always provide decanters of water and cordial free of charge.
Comforts
We have outdoor covered areas to ensure that even in the most inclement weather your guests can enjoy the outside space and surroundings. We always provide a selection of useful comforts in the toilets, flip flops for tired feet and a selection of cosy blankets for the evening.
Drinks by the Lake
We are happy for you to supply your guests with a welcome drink, table wine and toast drink which we can serve to your guests. We can chill your drinks and provide glassware; we do not charge
corkage. Please ask for further detail.
Decoration
We are passionate about making every wedding unique and will work with you to plan your day to suit your taste and style. We have beautiful vintage tables and chapel chairs which perfectly
compliment the rural location, bunting and fairy lights and an extensive collection of decorations.
A Room of One's Own
We have created a little room just for you so that you have a personal space to retreat to, change into evening wear or just take a few moments to reflect on your day.
Food
We are able to offer various catering options for your day or can recommend a wide selection of outside caterers who have visited previously. Alternatively, if you have a particular caterer in mind
just pass us their details so we can check their requirements. We do not allow self-catering.
Travel & Accommodation
We can help link you up with local taxi companies and accommodation options. We have welcomed couples who have arrived by helicopter, hot air balloon, vintage car and tractor, horse, taxi and foot. Each and every couple have made their entrance with a huge smile – we can’t wait to welcome you.
Fun and Games
We have a wide selection of lawn games and children’s toys which are always very popular with guests. We have also created a duck food stall to ensure your guest are fully engaged in our beautiful
surroundings and a photobooth with a wide selection of handcrafted props and masks.
Signs and Tableware
We have an extensive collection of A-frames, boards and signs which we are happy to personalise to
your day to ensure your guests know your seating arrangements and plans for your day. We are also
happy to provide crockery, cutlery, glassware, napkins, table cloths and runners.
The Cake
We can recommend some incredible wedding cake suppliers who have created both delicious and
breathtakingly beautiful wedding cakes. We have a stunning cake stand and knife which you are very welcome to make use of on your day.
Music
We can recommend some fantastic live bands, DJs and musicians that have played at weddings at the Roman Lakes in the past. We have a wireless speaker for use outdoors during blessings and a speaker system within the Tea Rooms to which you can connect your own device.
